Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using James Flow ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

James Flow is a Chrome browser extension that provides a persistent operational workspace combining reusable text (Skills), linked screenshots (Captures), and contextual AI. The Service includes a free trial period and paid subscription plans.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Free Trial

New users receive a 15-day free trial with full access to the Service. No credit card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using premium features.

5. Subscription and Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in US Dollars (USD).
• Payments are processed securely through Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
• Your subscription renews automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Use automated systems to abuse AI message quotas or circumvent fair use limits.
• Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content through the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by James Flow and protected by intellectual property laws. Your content (Skills, Captures, and configurations) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

8. AI Services

The Service includes AI-powered features. AI-generated content is provided as-is and should be reviewed before use. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated output. When using external AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) via your own API keys, those providers' terms of service also apply.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We store your data using industry-standard security practices, including encryption and Row Level Security. Your API keys for external providers are stored encrypted.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, James Flow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination through the export feature in the Config tab.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
